Meeting on
"New Technology, R&D and Commercialization" IOR-ARC

Focusing on IOR-ARC RCSTT Mandate,
developing science and technology including transfer of technology
would be highly important to IOR-ARC member states for sustainable
development. In this context, interaction among the science &
technology major players including departments/ministers in member
states, and facilitating regular communication and exchange of
information among them would be needed if we intend to obtain
tangible results in this direction. In brief, we need to establish
regional mechanism for creating a continuous process for developing
meaningful relations among R&D institutions and ministries of
IOR-ARC region enabling them to exchange technology,
commercializing their knowledge-based products, and establish joint
ventures at regional level. The current proposed programme would
focus on above issues, through roundtable meeting among the senior
officials of member states for developing above regional mechanism,
the way and plan of action to implement it in IOR-ARC

In this meeting, host organization
would intend to present a draft of road mapping (a framework) of
regional mechanism for coordinating technology cooperation and
future plan for commercialization of innovative products among the
Member States.
